Not that the Rogers LG Neon was a homerun or anything, but if you were among the first that embraced the side slider, I’ve got some quick news for you this afternoon.
Rogers has just released the second-gen Neon on their network. Named the LG Neon 2 (duh), this latest edition packs a lot of new features and improvements in comparison to its older sibling. First off, there’s the expected full QWERTY slider keyboard… nothing too crazy here. But on top of that, the latest iteration now packs a 3″ WQVGA touchscreen display (240 x 400), a nice improvement from the 2.4″ display found on the first Neon. You’ll also find a 2 megapixel camera with video capabilities, Bluetooth, an MP3 player and FM tuner, and a microSD card slot allowing you to expand capacity to 8 GB.
Pricing on the Rogers LG Neon 2 will run you a cool $19.99 on a 3-year contract. Cheap for sure. A 2-year contract will cost $69.99, a 1-year is $124.99, and if those options don’t tickle your fancy you can always come home with one for $174.99 on a month-to-month plan.
Whatever the case, you can check out everything you need to know about it at Rogers.
