Just a quickie here for all of the Facebook for BlackBerry users out there. I know you’re out there… I just received your friend request. Anywhoo, it wasn’t long ago that version 1.8.0.30 was available in the Beta Zone. From there, it was mysteriously pulled… and now, version 1.8.0.49 is available for prime time. That’s right, a new version of Facebook for BlackBerry is available right now in App World.

I’m not too clear on what’s new in the latest version, but you can bet your bottom dollar this build is more stable. It probably contains the usual whackload of tweaks and bug fixes as well. For what it’s worth, you might as well download and install on your Berry… it’s always good to stay on top of the latest version, especially if you’re an avid user!

    Its still showing as the old one even though it says an update’s ready for download?!? Maybe it doesnt update in the UK straight away?

    I would like to veiw this “new version” unfortunately, I cancelled the downloading process halfway through accidentally when facebook sent me the notification on my BB. I do not have internet access so can not access my hotmail account through my BB. How do I go about reinstalling this version??? The notification is even gone from my facebook page :( HALP PLS :)
