Gameloft is offering a new “Try Before Buy” version of their Android games for potential customers that just don’t know if the game is right for them. I don’t know about you, but I consider myself a “Try Before You Buy” kind of guy. The reason for this is simple: I don’t want to buy something that I know I’m going to be unhappy with. Ice cream, deli meat, and underwear are a few things that I often try before I buy. When it comes to games, I especially like to demo a game before I make a purchase. The iPhone market is filled with developers offering free versions of their games, but when it comes to the Android market, there are very few free versions of games. Gameloft, who is personally one of my favorite mobile games developer, has stepped in and is now offering demos of their games to Android users.

Currently, Gameloft is offering 11 of some of their best-selling titles to download from their website:

Coming Soon:

Now that you know what’s available, I bet you’re wondering how can you get that demo goodness into your Android device. I’m glad you asked as Gameloft has made the process simple. You can either search for Gameloft on your device’s web browser and navigate through Gameloft’s site to download your free trial, or you can go to the this link on your computer’s web browser, input your device & phone number, and you’ll receive an SMS with a link to download your free trial.

Right now Gameloft supports the following Android devices:

Games for the following devices coming soon:

So there you have it.  Now get to downloading and if you feel like recommending one of these titles to your fellow Android brothers, feel free to leave your suggestion in the comment section below.

I wonder if the games for the Vibrant would work for the Captivate (as long as the Captivate has sideloading enabled, of course).
