The Do-it-Yourself iPad Stand

If you’ve spent all the money you’ve been saving on your iPad, chances are you don’t really want to break the bank buying accessories for the device. Sure, you have the iPad in-hand, and can browse the web and interact with apps like never before, but what do you do when you want to watch videos? You seriously don’t want to hold the device in your own HANDS do you? That’s so boring… Time to get a stand, right? What if I told you that you could throw together a stand using only the packaging materials!? Well, you can!

The crafty folks over at Juiced Magazine put together a nifty how-to guide for you, and it’s very self explanatory. Take the piece of packaging found within your iPad’s box, cut it in half, and cut a notch at the angle of your choosing (see below).

    Hello,

I am all for the DIY spirit and all but this will scratch the iPad front and back. There is no way, I am using any of these crappy homemade stands. Why would I put my $800 dollars iPad 3G into something that will for sure scratch my awesome iPad.
