ThumbMedia Group (TMG) launched Mozine, the cross-platform technology and distribution solution for magazines that supports the iPhone, Android and BlackBerry smartphones.

The end-to-end service includes everything from the backend technology to the customer interface. For its clients, TMG builds the app, creates the content package, secures prime placement on app storefronts, promotes the finished product and provides consumer feedback metrics. Moreover, once the Mozine hits the virtual shelves, TMG maintains the app with updates and refreshed content. Additionally, the Mozine gives publishers access to three revenue streams – app subscriptions, advertising and mobile storefront transactions.

TMG submits its app to the Apple AppStore, BlackBerry App World, Android Market and Verizon Wireless V CAST App Store, while sourcing advertisements through established ad networks like iAd, AdMob and Millennial Media.

Finally, the press release talks about the first two titles that will receive the “Mozine makeovers,” which will be announced in coordination with the Magazine Publishers of America (MPA) on September 14th.
