BlackBerry OS Updates Available for the Torch 9800, Curve 3G and Curve 8520

Time for a quick BlackBerry OS roundup for the Berry users in the crowd. It’s been a little while since I’ve put one of these together… I figured it was overdue, so here we go.

First off, we have a leaked OS for the BlackBerry Torch 9800. The build bumps Torch users up to 6.0.0.225, and while no details have been found as to what’s new, you can expect the usual batch of bug fixes and performance enhancements are inside.

Next, we have some more BlackBerry 6 love for the Curve 3G 9330. In this case, a leaked version, bringing 9330 users up to 6.0.0.212. As with the leak above, no details have been noted, so it’s up to you to be brave, download and install, and let us know if you spot anything new or noteworthy. I kind of doubt you will, but that said, you never know.

Finally I have some love for Rogers and Fido customers up in Canada. More specifically, Curve 8520 users. Rogers has gone official with 5.0.0.822 for the device, and you can begin the update process by downloading the build below.

Remember folks, while we have a mix of leaked and official OS’s above, please take care and backup your device before you proceed. I don’t care if it’s official or not, make sure all necessary precautions are taken before you perform any OS update. If you’re successful (I’m sure you will be), take a moment and let us know if you’ve found anything new or noteworthy in any of these builds. Would be swell to hear from you.

Happy OS updating, intrepid BlackBerry users!
