BlackBerry Meebo Chat Client Enters Open Beta

Meebo, an instant messaging client that ties in multiple networks, like Google Talk, Windows Live, AIM, Facebook, and others, is coming to BlackBerry after an extended run on Android and iPhone. All your chat sessions can be automatically saved to the cloud, and synced with other clients, so you can pick up conversations right where they dropped off.

Meebo is probably best known for their web bar, which site owners adopt in order to provide visitors with chat and content sharing through social networks. Although RIM already offers a lot of chat clients that individually tie in to the address book and messages app, an all-in-one solution can make more sense for those who have friends on a lot of chat platforms. Besides, there are few BlackBerry apps that support Facebook chat, which alone might get me to give it a shot.
