A 10,000mAh battery in a phone that’s under 9mm thick and priced below Rs 45,000. That’s the pitch OPPO is reportedly preparing to make in India, and honestly, it’s a bold one. According to 91mobiles, the OPPO F35 series is expected to arrive in India by the end of August, which would put it less than five months after the F33 lineup launched in April this year. That’s a fast turnaround, and it signals OPPO is serious about keeping the F-series relevant in a crowded mid-range market.
The star of the show is the OPPO F35 Pro. Sources told 91mobiles it’s a rebranded version of the OPPO A7 Pro Max with a few India-specific tweaks. That kind of rebrand isn’t unusual for OPPO, but what matters is the spec sheet, and this one has a headline number that’s hard to scroll past.
The F35 Pro is expected to pack a 10,000mAh battery, which would make it OPPO’s first phone in India to hit that capacity. For context, the only phones in India currently sitting near that range are the Realme P4 Power and Realme Narzo Power, but both of those play in a much lower price bracket. The F35 Pro is aiming at Rs 40,000 to Rs 45,000, which is a different audience entirely. Buyers at that price usually care about display quality, performance, and camera chops, not just battery life. So OPPO is essentially betting that enough people in that segment want a phone that lasts two full days without a charger in sight.
The rest of the specs fill out the picture reasonably well. The phone is tipped to feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPS OLED flat display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is solid for the price. It’s also expected to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset paired with UFS 3.1 storage, with 128GB as the base option. And despite that enormous battery, the phone is reportedly just 8.57mm thick. If those numbers check out at launch, that’s genuinely impressive engineering, not just a spec sheet trick.
Still, the competition at this price is real. The Vivo S2 is launching this week and will likely target the same buyers. The OnePlus Nord 6 and Motorola Edge 70 Pro are also in the conversation. Those phones bring their own strengths, and the F35 Pro will need to deliver on more than just battery to justify the price.

But we’ve seen impressive spec sheets before that didn’t quite survive real-world testing. The August launch can’t come soon enough.
