Samsung moves more than a million Wave devices in Europe

Despite being a relatively expensive device with not that many apps available for download, Samsung is selling quite a few Wave units in Europe. As a matter of fact, the Korean company announced that its Bada baby has crossed the 1 million units sold mark.

That’s good news for Samsung but I still doubt in prospects of the platform. Numbers don’t necessarily make developers embrace some OS (as we know from the Symbian example). That said, I’m also kinda sceptical Bada has a chance in today’s ever-competitive marketplace and this is especially true when we know that Samsung itself keeps investing heavily in Google’s Android platform.

Anyway, as you know, the Wave is a somewhat small phone with high-end specs that include a 1GHz CPU, 3.3-inch WVGA Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, HSPA and WiFi connectivity, 5-megapixel camera that can take 720p video at 30 fps, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS and, of course, a microSD memory card slot.
