LG confirms the Optimus 7, a mid-level Windows Phone handset

LG stepped up to the plate and has hit a home run with its Optimus lineup of mobile devices. We have already seen a bevy of Android handsets with the Optimus branding, a tablet device, and now LG has officially unveiled its Optimus Windows Phone 7 handsets.

The Optimus 7 hits the mid-range of the Windows Phone 7 handsets with the following specs

  • 3.8-inch WVGA display
  • 1GHz processor.
  • 5-megapixel camera with 720P recording and support for 360-degree panorama photo
  • 16GB of on-board storage
  • GPS with digital compass
  • accelerometer
  • light and proximity sensors
  • Bluetooth 2.1
  • WiFi
  • dimensions of 125 x 59.8 x 11.5mm
  • Windows Phone OS

The Optimus 7 will be available starting October 21st in 35 Europe and Asia via 100 global partners and operators. Press release after the break.
