India’s Infosys Technologies launched Finacle Mobile Banking 2.0, calling it the “comprehensive solution” that enables retail and corporate consumers to access banking services through various mobile channels — including SMS, GPRS, 3G and USSD-enabled handsets.
The new version of Finacle supports multi-host, multi-lingual, multi-channel, multi-currency banking; while also facilitating “financial management encompassing product selection,” proximity payments, remote deposit capture, new account opening, ATM/branch locating based on GPS, along with value added services like mobile ticketing, mobile top-up and mobile marketing.
Interested buyers (i.e. financial institutions) may also like to know that the solution is seamlessly integrated with disparate host systems, and that it uses two factor authentication and encryption to ensure fidelity of transactions.
In terms of phone models supported, Finacle sings along over 8000+ mobile handsets, including both basic feature phones and hi-end smartphones.
Finally, Infosys is also offering Finacle mobile bank-in-a-box, which is a pre-configured and pre-integrated solution for rapid mobile banking deployment in lesser than 30 days… Additional information is available from the company’s website.
