Great Scott! Could it be? The classic 80’s ‘Back to the Future‘ Trilogy is headed to the iPad!? It is, it is, at 88 miles per hour!
The developers over at Telltale Games just released a statement about their upcoming Back to the Future: The Game for iPad. At this point not much is known about the game… no details have been released about the gameplay, and release dates remain up in the air. All we do know is it’s going to be a point and ‘touch’ adventure game… and to add just a little bit of awesomeness, the one and only Christopher Lloyd is doing the voice work for Doc Brown. Sweet!
Adding to the sweetness, Bob Gale (co-creator, co-writer and co-producer of the original Back to the Future Trilogy) is on-board with Telltale as a consultant. It’s awesome to see folks with an original interest in the series lending a hand to this new title.
The game is said to take place 6 months AFTER the closing events of Back to the Future Part 3… so everything you’ll experience will be new and exciting. To get started, Marty McFly learns that Doc Brown is in trouble, and he needs to hop in the Delorean to go and help him out. Doc is in trouble, and it’s up to you to save the day. I wonder what will happen? Will Biff be lurking around? So many questions left unanswered, questions you’ll have to answer for yourself when you get your hands on the game!
I don’t know about you, but being a child of the 80’s and all, I’ll be one of the first to nab this one once it’s available. Finally, an excuse to pull the Delorean out of storage.
For some cool behind-the-scenes trailers, artwork and much more, head on over to Telltale Games.
