UK’s largest online greetings card company Moonpig launches its iPhone app

UK’s largest online greetings card company, Moonpig, is out with its own iPhone app, allowing users to quickly navigate and choose from a selection of customizable cards. Of course, you can edit the text of the card (both on the front and the inside of the card) and use your own photos from the Gallery, if you fancy so.

Touted as an ideal tool for “people with a busy schedule,” it will ensure you never miss someone’s birthday or anniversary.

Greeting cards cost 2.99 GBP plus postage, while postcards go for 1.50 GBP plus postage. Both are dispatched inside an addressed envelope by first class mail, special delivery or standard international post.

One other interesting bit. At the launch day, Moonpig’s iPhone app was so popular that it has actually pushed Facebook off the top of the Brand Republic app chart (that’s not Apple’s chart, but it’s still something). Love to see a smaller player taking down the big guys… at least temporarily.
