Skype hitting webOS soon, but with limitations

It seems that Skype users are getting tugged and pulled here and there these days when it comes to a mobile app. At first, it was available nearly everywhere, then restrictions popped up when Verizon signed a deal with Skype, and suddenly Skype was pulling its services from apps like Fring. However, the popular VoIP service is making its way to webOS, which is good news for Palm users. However, there is a catch or two.

First, it will only work on webOS 2.0, so don’t hold your breath. Secondly, and it’s because of that inked deal from February of this year, it will only be available to Verizon customers only (for U.S. users). The good news, however, is that it will allow you to make calls over either Wi-Fi or 3G, so you don’t have to worry about being in a hotspot zone every single time you want to make a Skype call.

There isn’t a whole lot more to it other than we know it will be on the way!
