Earlier today, some blogs had said that T-Mobile had put their Even More Plus plans out to pasture, and while it did seem to be true, there was more to the story. The short version: the T-Mobile Even More Plus plans are still available.
T-Mobile’s Even More Plus plans are for those who either already have a handset they would like to use on the carrier, or don’t mind paying the full price of the phone. In return, T-Mobile will offer up a cheaper monthly bill with no contract. The T-Mobile website no longer shows the Even More Plus plan as an option, which would usually mean that it’s no longer available, but that’s not the case this time.
I’ve been on this plan for a while now, and love it, so when I heard they were axing it, I wondered if I’d be grand-fathered in. As it turns out, the plan is still available, but you need to call customer service. It does look like the plan may eventually be phased out, but for now, it’s still available. It definitely brings up the question of whether the plan was popular enough to continue offering it. Or, perhaps it was too popular for the carrier to continue to have it available. In either case, if you’re looking for a no-contract plan that’s cheaper than anything else out there for the moment, you may want to give T-Mobile a call. Soon.
T-Mobile is very good with their customer service, topping the charts of almost every Customer Service award from JD Power and Associates award for customer and retail satisfaction that could be thrown at them.
It could be interesting if T-Mobile brings in another plan for customers, but likely won’t. If anything, we’d imagine that Magenta will suggest users to join their pre-paid plan, that doesn’t sound terribly pleasing to me. Whatever they choose to do, customers with the plan will still likely continue using it.
