John’s Phone: The World’s Simplest Cellphone

I think I just found the ideal piece of mobile hardware for my mom. Seriously. Called ‘John’s Phone‘, this clever little mobile device is the simplest thing I’ve seen in years… and I love it.

Truly, what you see is what you get with this one. A large numerical keypad along with a ‘hello’ and ‘bye’ buttons adorn the front. A small screen on the top displays numbers as they come in. Along the side of the device there is a SIM port (quad band), a ring settings switch, and a lock switch. That’s it. Easy and simple.

The part I get a kick out of on this one is the address book. It’s an actual physical address book tucked away in the back of the device. Inside there’s space for all of your addresses, plus there’s even a stylus (actually a pen) for when you need to jot down a new address or number. In one last twist of clever, a ‘games’ section is found in the address book, featuring a page full of ‘tic tac toe’.

So there you have it. No SMS, no email, no photo, no video, no media player… if all you need is a phone in a clean and easy to use package… This one is for you.

Available in 5 styles, John’s Phone is available for €89. Hit up the product link below.
