LG Optimus M hits MetroPCS this week for $230

The LG Optimus M finds its way to MetroPCS this week for just $230, contract free. The Android 2.2 handset takes a different design cue from the rest of the Android handsets we’ve seen out there, and the metal accents and overall design is very much what we’ve come to expect from LG. Personally, I prefer the metal and heft to the extremely lightweight plastic handsets getting churned out recently.

The LG Optimus M has a 3.2-inch HVGA display so it’s not as big as most other Android devices out there, but it’s perfect for those who may pick this up as a first time smartphone. It also has a 3.2-megapixel camera and a 600MHz processor, which might not be the snappiest out there but should get the job done.

Nabbing an LG Optimus M will set you back $230 and should be available Wednesday, November 24 at your local MetroPCS store. Do note that you’ll need a minimum $50 plan, which includes unlimited texts, minutes and data. Not too shabby for an Android device if you also happen to have decent MetroPCS coverage in your area.
