T-Mobile is going to be blowing up in 2011 with HSPA+ expansion – perhaps even double the current theoretical speeds we’re not seeing – and along with it will come some pretty sweet new devices. There are already smartphones that support the super fast data network, like the G2 and myTouch 4G, and USB modems, too. But what about tablets? It looks like that role may be filled by the Dell Streak 7.
We’re not sure it will be called the Dell Streak 7, but it’s very Dell Streak-ish and it’s a 7-inch tablet, so we’ll stick with that for now. What you’re seeing above is an image of the coming tablet, and like the Streak before it, it’s likely going to be packing Android, too. Given the direction Android tablets are taking, we’d bet that this puppy will be sporting the Honeycomb version of the Google OS, which is primed for tablet use.
While we don’t have too many details on the Dell Streak tablet, it’s likely that we’ll hear a bit more about it either from Dell or T-Mobile – or both – next week during CES where T-Mobile will talk new tablets and its HSPA+ 42 (that’s 42Mbps!) network.
