Samsung Wave users in Europe to get the Bada 1.2 update in early next year

According to Samsung Bada’s official Twitter account, the Bada 1.2 update for unlocked Wave-ownin’ Europeans will be released in early next year. After the unlocked versions are cleared, Samsung will make the same update available for users who bought the device from carriers.

As you may know from our previous post(s), Bada 1.2 update will not only include some bug fixes and performance enhancements, but also new features like the T9 Trace virtual keyboard that works like Swype.

Samsung Wave proved as a popular device for the Korean giant, having moved couple of million units so far. It features a 3.3-inch Super AMOLED WVGA capacitive touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera with HD video recording capability, HSPA and WiFi connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0 and a microSD memory card slot.

The Wave II will be the first Bada 1.2 powered smartphone with specs that are on par with the original Wave. The only difference between the two is in the screen size with Wave II boasting a bigger 3.7-inch display…
