Apple is out with the latest version of the iOS SDK. Version 4.3 (build number 8F190) is set to hit iPhones, iPod Touches and iPads on March 11th, and in the meantime developers are able to test out the new features before the general public.
Probably the most interesting capability of iOS 4.3 is iTunes Home Sharing, which could pretty much make syncing redundant in some cases. With your complete music and video library stored on your computer, you will be able to beam content throughout the house sans any wires. Of course, there’s still the need to carry some of those files with you, but that’s another story.
Other enhancements of this release include faster JavaScript performance in Safari, personal hotspot feature, AirPlay support for apps, and the ability to choose function of the hardware mute/lock key on the iPad.
‘nough said. If you’re a developer, proceed to the iOS Dev Center and take it from there.
