Bizzy introduces ‘check-out’ feature to let you rate places you’ve visited

Bizzy is a recommendation engine that helps you find restaurants, shops and bars based on your preferences and the preferences of users similar to you. It has been available on the iPhone for some time now, and was recently launched for Android. Its user-base is still growing, so results vary from city to city, with the larger ones turning up better results for pretty obvious reasons.

However, instead of just finding new places and checking in to let your friends know where you are, Bizzy is introducing a “check-out” feature. With check-out, you can rate the place and add some comments for the next user to consider, and so that your future search results will reflect your opinion of previous visits, too. The only thing I can really compare it to would be leaving tips on Foursquare or reviews on Yelp, except those don’t help narrow your future search results based on your reviews and tips.

Bizzy has worked pretty well for me so far whenever I’ve used it, and the app is free. It’s also free to sign up for a new account if you want to give it a try.

For more details on the new feature from Bizzy, see the press release on the following page.
