Nokia has just updated its Ovi Store for those of you who rely on the market for all your apps and goodies. The store is still very much alive and kicking and was recently updated back in September. It’s going to be enforced for Symbian^3 devices and will be available for handsets powered by S60 3rd and 5th edition, too. So, why the update?
All About Symbian says:
The new version is to maintain compatibility with architecture changes at Nokia’s end and also provides performance improvements on all devices.
To get the update, just start the existing Ovi Store client on your device and you’ll be offered the update. On S60 5th Edition and 3rd Edition devices, you’ll have to tap on the downloaded file to install it and accept the ‘update’ prompts.
It doesn’t seem like a huge update, but it’s probably best to do so as soon as possible so that you don’t run into any bugs or incompatibility issues in the future. For more information on the update, see the link below.
