HTC just dished out some invites to UK journalists for an event on April 12, with only the ominous directive “to see what’s next”. There’s some crazy liquid metal T-1000 stuff going on there, leaving us only with our imagination as to what is concealed below the surface. We’re seeing the HTC Pyramid pretty clearly lately, so it’s a solid candidate, but there’s also the possibility of a 10-inch version of the Flyer tablet, or maybe a European EVO 3D, but really, it’s anybody’s guess.

If it is the Pyramid, we can expect it to have a 1.2 GHz processor, 768 MB of RAM, a 4.3-inch 960 x 540 display, an 8 megapixel camera, and Android 2.3 with Sense 3.0 customizations. All the usual fare, like Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and HSPA+-flavoured 3G would be in there.

Given the momentum for the form factor, another tablet would be a welcome launch, but given that the event is in the UK, it might not be something we end up seeing over here in North America. CTIA had a few goodies from HTC for those of us in the U.S., so I suppose we can’t complain too much.

What do you guys think HTC is going to announce on April 12?

Please be a phone and a tablet with stock Android and no HTC Sense or other overlays!
