Canada’s General Election is coming up on May 2, 2011, and citizens of the true north strong and free owe it to themselves (and their country) to make an informed vote come election day. With that in mind, I stumbled across a new app from the folks at The Globe and Mail that is a must-have for iPhone-packing Canadians.
Titled ‘Globe Politics’, this free app delivers exactly what you’d expect. Pop it open for the latest political news, commentary and analysis from the crack team at The Globe and Mail.
Since the release of the app on March 18, The Globe Politics app has been getting some rave reviews, with an average rating of 4.5 out of 5. Not bad at all. From personal experience, I can tell you the app loads lightning fast, and it’s extremely easy to use.
I certainly have my own political views, but this is no place for me to ramble about them. However, if you’re in Canada, and want to do your best to make an informed vote come May 2nd, I highly suggest you give this one a spin. Canada will thank you.

Random side note: I always get a kick out of politicians and their promises come election time. Aren’t the promises a bit like fixing up your house only when it’s time to sell it? Why wouldn’t you fix it up to enjoy it for yourself? Or in the case of a politician, do your job and come up with fantastic policies and changes while you’re in office? Ugh… never mind.
