It’s prank time… time to revisit one April Fools’ joke that caught my attention this year. During a newscast on April 1st, Raoul Martinez of Fox 5 in San Diego managed to pull the wool over the eyes of co-anchor Shally Zomorodi in an unusual way. While describing a new app called ‘Virtual Sip’ that featured something called ‘piezo-electrics’, Raoul reported you could actually sniff and smell aromas coming from your device. Heck, you can even lick it to get a taste!
This has to be one of the best (and most embarrassing) on-air pranks I’ve ever seen. Full credit goes to Mr. Martinez for this one.
How Shally didn’t realize this was a prank, I’ll never know (especially considering it was April Fools’ Day)… but whatever, the end result is a little gem that it certainly worth a look. Go ahead and hit the play button above if you haven’t already.
