A company called Justyourtrip released a novel tour guide for London for the iPhone. It’s an audio guide that comes with more than 4,000 places of interest with photos, detailed information on each place, restaurant menus, closest metro line, offline maps with three zoom levels, advanced search and more.
Included with the app are 10 walking tours such as Jack the Ripper, The Beatles, Haunted London, Celebrities, Shopping in London, Following Sherlock Holmes, Royalty, Cinema in London in two parts, and London in a day, with more than 200 audio-points, and voice over by “top Spanish and English voice talents.”
Justyourtrip touts its application that “has absolutely nothing in common with traditional city tours” where tourists are forced to go where the guide says with a crowd of other tourists and missing the real beauty of the city. In that sense this walking audio tour provides users with an opportunity to discover the best that London has to offer.
