Good news for our readers from the UK looking to grab themselves the Asus Eee Transformer. Comet is offering the tablet for 429 GBP (about $690) and that price also includes the keyboard docking station. Of course that’s more than what Amazon was asking in the U.S. even if you add the keyboard to the mix. However, it’s also worth pointing out that British (and the rest of Europe for that matter) are used to paying more for their gadgets, unfortunately.
You know what to expect from the Transformer, right? It’s a 10.1-inch tablet with “standard Honeycomb” specs like a dual-core CPU, two cameras (5-megapixel on the back), sensors and so on. Personally I find 10-inch tablets too bulky, but that’s just me. LG’s Optimus Pad and Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 8.9 seems like a perfect fit and I’ll be most likely grabbing one of those two.
But I digress… You can grab the Asus Eee Transformer from this page on Comet’s website.
