SPB Software is bringing its mobile clock/time app, SPB Time, to the Android community. The application — which is already available for the iPhone, Symbian and Windows Mobile — comes with few time-based features, including World Time, countdown and stopwatch timers, calendar, moon phases and of course the alarm clock. The last mentioned feature is where SPB Time truly shines, offering three different kinds of alarm options.
First comes the standard alarm that works like any other alarm app out there. The second option, Bio alarm, is made for people who “prefer the gentle and natural way of waking up.” It starts with slight ticks, lights and sound of birds or water before the actual alarm time. Finally, the Paranoid alarm is made for heavy sleepers who pretty much ignore all alarms. When SPB Time is set in this mode, the phone will keep ringing until some puzzle is successfully solved. This way the sleeper will presumably be awaken to while solving the puzzle.
SPB Time for Android works on devices running Android 2.1 and higher. It is available for 2 bucks for everyone purchasing the app before June 7th (when the price will jump to $4.99).
