HTC Sensation is steadily gaining ground around the world. In France SFR is selling the device, in South Korea – SK Telecom and in the UK – Vodafone (with other operators to follow shortly). Users getting such a powerful device from operators usually have to sing some contract. If that’s not something you like, there’s always the unlocked, SIM-free option, which costs more but allows you pick both the carrier and the plan that best suit your needs.
Unfortunately you still can’t get the unlocked Sensation. However that will be changed in the near future with European online retailers starting to list HTC’s superphone on their sites.
- Amazon Germany lists the HTC Sensation at 600.60 EUR. Unfortunately, they don’t mention the release date.
- In Italy, Media World shows a similar price (599 EUR), also without revealing the availability information.
- Finally, British Clove has already started taking pre-orders asking 498 GBP (about 575 EUR) for the device while also mentioning that the first stock will “arrive on June 27.”
600 EUR may sound a lot (that’s $853), but then again the Sensation is one of the best smartphones unveiled to date, rocking a dual-core processor, qHD capacitive touchscreen, great camera, HSPA, Wi-Fi, GPS and so on…
