Motorola Triumph coming to Virgin Mobile this summer

Verizon isn’t the only one getting some swanky new Motorola hardware this summer. Today Sprint and Moto jointly announced the Triumph, an Android 2.2 Froyo handset with a 4.1-inch WVGA display, 5 megapixel camera on the back with 720p video recording (plus front-facing video chat camera), HDMI-out, a 1 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM,  and 32 GB of storage. It’s bound for Virgin as an exclusive release in late July.

Specs-wise, the Triumph strikes the upper range, and as an exclusive offer, will be a boon to Virgin, but there’s not much there that folks on other carriers will be missing. Virgin is throwing in a few customizations, like something called Live 2.0, which lets you stream music from their radio station, and check in at special events through Twitter and Facebook.

This is apparently the first Motorola handset available on Virgin Mobile, so “woo!” for them, I guess. You can get more details on the new device here, but this is still my favourite Triumph of all time. Stick around for our hands-on impressions!
