Motorola has released the Android 2.2 Froyo update for Defy, making it even better purchase. Last time we talked about it, Amazon UK offered Moto’s rugged smartphone for 251.99 GBP sans any long-term commitments. In the meantime, price went slightly down and now interested folks can get the phone for 246.90 GBP. That’s an awesome deal!
As you probably know, the Android 2.2 brings tons of improvements when compared to Éclair (Android 2.1). Among many things users get, we find improved Microsoft Exchange support, faster browser, mobile hotspot capability and Adobe Flash support. In other words, if you do happen to own the Defy, waste no time – update as soon as you can. Make sure to backup all of your PIM data just in case something goes wrong. Then, once you’re done with the backup, connect to a fast Wi-Fi hotspot and update over-the-air.
Alternatively, if you were thinking to grab yourself a decent Android smartphone, now’s your chance. Not many other devices offer so many features for less than 250 GBP. Again, here’s the link the page on Amazon UK’s from where you can grab the Motorola Defy…
