HTC Puccini tablet clears FCC on its way to AT&T

If you recall, Puccini is the codename for HTC’s upcoming 10-inch tablet. The news is that it has been spotted at the Federal Communications Commission and as far as we can tell it’s heading to AT&T — at least the presence of 3G radio that sings along 850 and 1900MHz bands suggests so. However, it won’t be a “3G only” device, with LTE radio delivering high-speed downloads in select markets. In order for that to happen, AT&T should first launch its LTE network and we know that’s happening as we speak. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait for too long to see the carrier announcing its first slew of LTE-ready phones and tablets with HTC Puccini taking a prominent role in any such arrangement.

We’ll definitely be looking at the tablet market and let you know as soon as something cool happens. In the meantime, you’re free to check Puccini’s docs at the FCC’s website.
