We just got word that HTC will be making a “major announcement” tomorrow via teleconference at 8:30 a.m. Pacific Time and I’m being told that it will be “big” and “major” but that’s about all I know right now.
HTC CEO Peter Chou will be making the announcement and it’s kind of odd to see this as a teleconference. HTC generally has many of its major device launches as press events or through its carrier partners, so this could be something beyond a new device. Perhaps this could be the launch of a new service or partnership.
The company has also been in a deep legal battle with Apple and a resolution would be worth a major announcement. Oh, who am I kidding? I don’t know what’s going to be announced, as it could very well be the HTC Puccini tablet that has been leaked lately.
