Pova AI Buds Pro launched in India with meeting summaries and 48dB ANC

A red button on a earbuds charging case sounds like a gimmick. But Pova is betting that button changes how you work. The Pova AI Buds Pro have just launched in India, and the headline feature is not the ANC or the battery life. It’s an AI-powered meeting recorder built right into the earbuds themselves.

Here’s how it works. The charging case has a dedicated Quick Note button, colored red so you actually notice it. Press it, and the earbuds start recording audio directly, no phone app required. The buds can store up to four hours of recordings onboard. From there, the AI Meeting Summary feature transcribes your conversations and generates summaries automatically. There’s also real-time translation across 78 languages, which is genuinely impressive if it works as advertised. Pova says users keep full control over their recordings, transcripts, and summaries, which matters a lot when you’re capturing sensitive work conversations.

The hardware backing all this up is solid for the price. An eight-microphone array paired with a Voice Pickup Unit handles call quality and voice capture. Hybrid ANC goes up to 48dB, which puts it in the same conversation as earbuds costing significantly more. Total battery life is claimed at 40 hours with the case, and both USB-C wired and Qi wireless charging are supported. The build carries an IP55 rating, so sweat and light rain are not a problem. Dual-device pairing rounds things out, letting you switch between your phone and laptop without the usual disconnection headache.

Pricing sits at Rs. 14,999, but Pova is offering an introductory price of Rs. 12,499 for a limited period. Stack a Rs. 1,000 bank discount on top of that and you’re potentially looking at Rs. 11,499. No-cost EMI is also available. The earbuds go on sale August 22 at 12pm on both Amazon India and Flipkart.

So why does this matter beyond just another TWS launch? The AI productivity angle in audio hardware is heating up fast. We’re seeing earbuds move from pure listening devices into tools that actively help you do things, record meetings, translate speech, summarize conversations. Pova, as a Tecno sub-brand aimed at younger, value-conscious buyers, is pushing this kind of feature into a more accessible price bracket. That’s a real shift. Until recently, this sort of functionality was either locked behind expensive enterprise hardware or clunky third-party apps.

  • 48dB Hybrid ANC with eight-microphone array and VPU
  • AI Meeting Summary with transcription and real-time translation in 78 languages
  • Quick Note button on the charging case for instant recording
  • Up to four hours of onboard recording storage
  • 40-hour total battery life with case
  • USB-C and Qi wireless charging support
  • Dual-device pairing and IP55 build

The big question is execution. AI transcription is only useful if it’s accurate, and real-time translation across 78 languages is a bold claim that needs real-world testing to validate. The 48dB ANC number also needs context since peak specs don’t always reflect everyday performance. But if Pova delivers even 80 percent of what it’s promising here, the AI Buds Pro could be one of the more interesting earbuds releases of the year in India’s crowded TWS market.
