iQOO doesn’t do audio gear very often, so when it does, people pay attention. The brand just dropped a teaser for the iQOO Buds, giving us our first real look at the design before the official launch on August 20th. And yes, that’s the same date as the iQOO Z11, so it’s shaping up to be a pretty packed launch day.
As 91mobiles reported, iQOO India shared the teaser on X, and the design is pretty much what you’d expect from a budget-friendly TWS. The case and earbuds come in a deep black finish, with small pops of yellow on the inner lining of the charging case. It’s a classic pebble-style case, and the earbuds themselves are oval-shaped. Nothing wild, but it looks clean. There’s also a tiny charging LED and what appears to be a USB-C port at the bottom of the case, which is exactly what you want in 2026.
The teaser tagline reads “Engineered for Every Beat”, which could mean a few things. It might be a nod to wide musical range support, or it could just be marketing speak for punchy bass. Honestly, given where budget TWS pricing tends to land, the latter feels more likely. Most affordable earbuds right now lean hard into bass-heavy tuning, and iQOO probably isn’t going to break that trend.
The big unknowns are still price and specs. iQOO hasn’t dropped a single number yet, which makes it hard to know exactly who this is competing against. But for context, the OnePlus Nord Buds 4 launched at Rs 3,299, and the Realme Buds Air8 hit the same price point back in January. If iQOO lands in that same range, it’ll be walking straight into a crowded fight. That segment has gotten surprisingly competitive, with brands pushing decent ANC, longer battery life, and better call quality even at low price points.
So if you’re shopping for earbuds right now, it’s probably worth holding off for about a week. The August 20th launch should give you a much clearer picture of where the iQOO Buds stand on features and value.
The iQOO Buds will be sold on Amazon India, same as the Z11. Speaking of which, the Z11 is confirmed to pack a MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo chip, a 50MP Sony primary camera with OIS, and a massive 7,050mAh battery. Those are strong numbers for a mid-range phone, and it puts the Z11 in direct competition with devices like the OnePlus Nord CE 6. iQOO is clearly trying to make a statement with this launch, and pairing a new phone with new audio gear is a smart way to get buyers to consider the full ecosystem.
