Samsung and its carrier partners are looking to bring the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update to all of the Galaxy S versions. One of the devices from the group which still waits to get that treatment is U.S. Cellular’s Samsung Mesmerize, which is a CDMA-version of the Galaxy S, like the one Verizon offers (Fascinate). Unfortunately we don’t have the exact release date and can only hope Samsung will “mesmerize” the phone owners sooner rather than later.
As a reminder, the Mesmerize (and all Galaxy S versions for that matter) comes with a 4-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera, 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS and a microSD memory card slot. U.S. Cellular is selling it for $99.99 after $100 mail-in rebate and with a two-year customer agreement…
