Philadelphia Media Network bundles ARNOVA Android tablet with digital subscriptions to Inquirer and Daily News

If you recall, we’ve already covered ARNOVA tablets in the past. They are far from the high-end products Apple, Samsung and HTC are making these days, but are still solid enough for comfortable news reading, web surfing and so on.

Now Philadelphia Media Network decided to offer ARNOVA tablets for next to nothing to anyone willing to subscribe to digital issues of The Philadelphia Inquirer and philly.com. The deal — which BTW is limited to the fastest 5,000 users — includes the ARNOVA 10 G2 tablet, preloaded news apps and the mentioned subscription. The device is available for $99 with a discounted two-year digital subscription to The Inquirer and Daily News for $9.99 a month or for $129 with a one-year subscription at $12.99 a month (not sure I understand the math here, though). The highly discounted digital subscriptions are made possible in part through sponsorships by Main Line Health, Comcast Corporation and Wells Fargo.

As for the ARNOVA 10 G2’s specs, it comes with a single-core 1GHz processor, 10.1-inch 1024×600 pixel capacitive touchscreen, while Android 2.3 Gingerbread is running the show… You can get all additional information about this offer from a dedicated website.
