AT&T has started taking orders for the Motorola Atrix 2, which was announced during the recent CTIA. The carrier asks $99.99 for the phone with a new two-year contract, but you can also get a better deal if you grab it from Amazon. The online retailer sells the Atrix 2 for $50 less for new AT&T subscribers. However, those upgrading or adding a new line won’t get that good of a deal – Amazon will take $200 from such users.
The Motorola Atrix 2 was announced last week at CTIA, and it’s basically an improved version of its predecessor (known as Atrix 4G). The device has a dual-core 1 GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 4.3-inch 960×540 pixels touchscreen, 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and 1080p HD video recording, front-facing camera for video calls, HSPA+ and Wi-Fi connectivity, 1 GB of RAM, 8GB of built-in storage, microSD card slot, GPS, while Android 2.3 Gingerbread is running the show. Perhaps even more important is the Atrix 2’s ability to sing along the Moto Lapdock 100, the handy accessory that will turn it into a laptop. Can’t say enough praise for that thing. 😉
