Unlike Europe, many parts of the world lik the U.S. and Australia will have to wait for next year to try out Samsung’s Galaxy Note. Lucky Germans are on the “good list” and are among the first ones to be able to buy the Korean company’s smartphone/tablet device. Sammy’s official price is fixed at 699 EUR, but that doesn’t stop other retailers from offering better deals — for instance Amazon Germany is asking 551 EUR for the unlocked, SIM-free device.

Needless to say, as soon as the Galaxy Note hits some carrier’s portfolio, interested users will be able to grab it for next to nothing on a two-year contract.

As a reminder, Samsung’s baby rocks a huge 5.3-inch Super AMOLED HD (1280×800 pixels) touchscreen, 1.4GHz dual-core processor, HSPA+ (21Mbps) and Wi-Fi connectivity, 8-megapixel camera on the back, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB of built-in storage that is further expandable with microSD cards. Android 2.3 Gingerbread is running the show…
