We’ve already told you the LG Optimus 3D will get the Gingerbread update later this month. What we haven’t said is that it will bring some other goodies aside from the latest available version of Google’s mobile OS (“latest available” – because Ice Cream Sandwich is still not available).
The forthcoming update will be based on Android 2.3.5, and will also include such enhancements as 2D and 3D video editing, 3D to 2D conversion and higher bit-rates for 3D videos. Moreover, faster HSPA+ (up to 21Mbps on the download side) is also said to be included with the upcoming firmware, which is *really* nice.
Again LG will start rolling out Optimus 3D Gingerbread updates from November 21st for users who bought the unlocked version of the device. Those who got it from some carrier (i.e. on a contract) will most likely have to wait a little longer. Just how longer – we’re not sure…
