Think that the iPad 2 is the only tablet with a smart cover? Think again, with Amazon Germany listing such an accessory for the upcoming Asus Transformer Prime. So aside from the keyboard dock, this will be one of those must-have things to purchase alongside Asus’ Android tablet. The price is 39 EUR, which is roughly $53.

Yeah I know it’s not cheap, but you’ll be glad to know this magnetic folding cover is even smarter than what Apple is selling, supporting both portrait and landscape orientations at a variety of angles. Overall, the Asus Smart Cover seems inspired by an origami sculpture and is way more complex that Apple’s product. Not sure that’s a plus, but I certainly like more options that it provides.

Finally, when it comes to the color option, this Smart Cover is available in black, gray, green and pink. At the moment, it is out of stock at Amazon.de but you can still order it and Amazon will send it to you as soon as it gets one.
