Samsung XMAS HUGS Robot uses Galaxy Tab 10.1 as a brain, Galaxy S II as a heart

Samsung has teamed-up with RT Corp. to create a unique robot, pictured above. Called Hug-Chan, this fella’ was made for the Christmas season, featuring the Galaxy Tab 10.1 as its brain and Galaxy S II LTE as its heart.

The robot can dance, sing (Christmas songs) and hug its visitors at the Galaxy Cafe in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo. Those of you (us) not able to come over there have to check out this e-beast via webcam. There’s a special website prepared for the occasion from where you can check out the robot and its interactions with the visitors. Unfortunately the site is in Japanese and even uses Flash so I couldn’t translate it with Google. Still, you can figure out where the camera links are…
