Huawei is working on the Ice Cream Sandwich update for its MediaPad tablet as we speak. As you can see from the image above, the official launch date seems pretty close, though at this moment we can’t confirm when exactly that will happen. Hopefully, by the time of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona both international MediaPad version and T-Mobile Sprintboard (sold in the U.S.) will get the latest version of Android.
In any case, it’s good to see an ambitious player like Huawei committing to regular software updates. This is very important if they want to push their brand to the users of the United States and Europe, and compete with the likes of Samsung, LG, Motorola and HTC.
We’ll be definitely following this story and let you know as soon as we hear something new. Stay tuned in the meantime, k?
