Asus Transformer Prime gets a small firmware update

Asus is rolling out a new firmware update for its fancy Transformer Prime tablet/netbook device as we speak. Unfortunately software version 8.8.3.33-20111223 doesn’t bring the latest version of Android (Ice Cream Sandwich), though it will increase the overall performance of the tablet. For instance, it is said that the camera app is now launching much faster.

As we don’t have the official change log and as I don’t own Asus’ baby myself I’m afraid I’ll have to ask you, our dear readers, for the comment. If you happen to be one of lucky Transformer Prime owners, we’re eager to hear your thoughts. Are you noticing any changes? Are things really working faster for you? Don’t hesitate to drop us your two cents in the comments form below.

As usual, make sure your tablet if fully charged before applying the update and that you’re connected to a fast Wi-Fi hotspot to make the download faster. Good luck! 😉
