Good news for those of you with MetroPCS’ LG Esteem – you can now more easily root your smartphone of choice. Yep, the all-in-one root and custom recovery is out, compliments to AndroidForums.com ROM developer PlayfulGod, though credit also goes to Koush and RaidZero for their recoveries as well as zergrush for their root method.
Both versions (one for Koush’s recovery and one for RaidZero’s) can be used on Windows and Linux. You should read *ALL* instructions at AndroidForums.com carefully before proceeding – if something, God forbid, goes wrong – you can’t hold IntoMobile responsible. Rooting does require some technical skills and if you don’t know what you’re doing – do not (I repeat DO NOT) take this route. Final word of caution – rooting your Esteem may also void your warranty!
