Mobile payments will soar in the next three years (Infographic)

I have a friend who’s not very tech savvy. She not on any social network and doesn’t use a computer all that much. Ironically, she’s now at the forefront of mobile technology because she doesn’t use cash. Her paychecks are direct deposited, she uses debit or credit cards for purchases, and she makes most of her payments online. Now that she has a smartphone, she is one of 141.1 million users who used mobile payments last year.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg for mobile payments. According to an infographic from the Acquity Group, mobile payments are about to soar. Right now only 14% of companies now offer mCommerce solutions, and another 15% will sign on next year. Eventually, it will grow into a $670 million business by 2015.  Want to know more? Then you can check out the infographic below.
