SEGA is bringing its popular Virtua Tennis franchise to the Android Market. The game, called Virtua Tennis Challenge, will be unveiled at the CES in Las Vegas next week and will deliver a ton of entertainment for on-the-go users. Here’s a snippet from SEGA’s official announcement:

Virtua Tennis Challenge has been designed specifically for mobile experiences and touch screens. The title is also being optimized specially for the Xperia Play and the Qualcomm Snapdragon systems, and features some of the best graphics ever seen in the smartphone tennis game market.

Now we only hope that smartphones with non-Qualcomm chips will get a comparable experience as well. After all, some of today’s most popular devices use different processors — i.e. Motorola DROID RAZR uses TI OMAP 4430 and Samsung Galaxy S II (international version) – Samsung Exynos.

In any case, I’m looking forward to try out Virtua Tennis Challenge playing with Novak Djokovic as he defends his top spot… 😉
