At a press event today at CES, AT&T, Microsoft  and Nokia jointly announced the high-end Lumia 900, the first 4G LTE Windows Phone handset from Nokia. It was a star-studded event with Stephen Elop, Steve Ballmer and Ralph de la Vega on stage at the same time.

As expected, the Lumia 900 is Nokia’s flagship Windows Phone handset with a feature sheet that beats both the Lumia 710 and the Lumia 800. The 900 has the same polycarbonate design as the 800 but bumps up the specs with a 4.3-inch ClearBlack AMOLED display (800 by 480 resolution), a 1.4GHz Snapdragon processor, 512 MB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera with a wide-angle Carl Zeiss lens, a 1-megapixel front-facing camera and 16 GB onboard storage. The handset will run a version of Windows Phone 7.5 Mango that supports LTE.

The Lumia 900 will debut in the US on AT&T in the coming months. It will be available in black and cyan.
