Cricket is rocking with its Muve Music service, having surpassed half a million customers in less than one year. To put the figure in perspective, since launching in January 2011, Muve Music has grown to become the No. 2 digital music subscription service in the US due to carrier’s affordable Android smartphone options and expanded nationwide distribution.

Here are even more numbers:

  • On a monthly basis, Muve Music customers listen to music on their phone approximately 40 hours and download roughly 300 songs over Cricket’s 3G network.
  • In other words, that’s more than 90 million songs downloaded and more than 260 million songs listened (streamed).
  • In total, customers have downloaded more than 500 million songs and listened to more than 1.5 billion tracks since launch in 2011.
  • According to a leading music tracking service, in the month of December, Muve Music’s usage represented more than 90% of all tethered streams for the top 300 songs tracked in the mobile applications category, which includes services such as Rhapsody, Spotify and MOG.

Muve Music devices are available at Cricket stores and through Best Buy, Walmart and Amazon…
