In a Nokia developer newsletter sent out on Thursday, the Finnish handset maker confirmed the Lumia 900 will launch in March. It’s abundantly clear as the newsletter reads,

“The Nokia Lumia 900 phone runs Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5. It is the biggest and fastest smartphone yet. And it will become available exclusively through AT&T in March.”

It’s nice to know that the handset is coming March; it’s even nicer to know that it may arrive on March 18th. Speaking on Windows Weekly, both Paul Thurrott and Mary Jo Foley said their sources peg the mid-March Sunday as the target launch date.

It’s unclear whether this March 18 date will pan out. Thurrott and Foley are extremely reliable sources, but release dates often change. Whether it arrives on the 18th or another date remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure, the Lumia will likely make waves when it lands on AT&T.
